Watched this two weeks ago. Only now I remember to blog about it.
I personally like this movie a lot. Everything in it was so astonishing and amazing. Maybe because I never read the book. So I found the plot was rather unpredictable. Well ok, not all like how Edmund was saved by the magic liquid, but there were some just surprised me. Lucy Pevensie is really a better actress compared to the her other siblings. She was so natural in the movie. She expressed her role so accurately adequate. She didn’t over-doing it nor she didn’t insufficiently bringing her character to life like her siblings. She is so talented and we all can tell that she is born to be in this business.
I found it rather disappointing that Susan didn’t have much actions in the movie. We can’t really see how powerful and precise is her skill on the arrows. I think it will be more exciting if they can show more actions on every each of them mastering their weapons. Like emphasizing the unique of each weapons given to them in particular. I mean afterall, they are the kings and queens. At least show some power la, rite?
Frankly speaking, I don’t find the young actors and actresses appealing in the beginning of the movie. I was like “Why them?”. But then, later on I changed my mind. Hehe. Mr and Mrs Beaver were so sweet and loving. I like all the voices. It was perfectly great.
Oh, not a single real lion appears in the film. Haha. Aslan looked so furry. I felt disturbed and sad to see Aslan humiliated by the White Witch and co. Ok, so I shed a few tears.
Overall, I was completely convinced and contented after the movie. It was a great movie and quite disappointing there will be no second one. I’m glad that I didn’t read the book first and save myself from being judgemental. Others might be expecting more but it’s good enough for me. Hehe.
