I was watching Channel News Asia but I missed the front part of this report. So I went to their website and checked about it.

CAIRO : Fourteen Chinese tourists from Hong Kong were killed and 30 others wounded in a bus accident in southeast Egypt, an Egyptian security official said.

The bus, carrying the tourists from the Red Sea resort of Hurghada to the southern Nile city of Luxor, was speeding when it spun off the road…

A few of the victims were interviewed. There was this man was telling the reporter that the bus driver was speeding and shouldn’t have drove recklessly. Then another reporter asked how injured is his wife. “She is dead.” He replied. Then he broke into tears.

My brother and I were like “Oh my god.”

I recalled that Reader’s Digest published an article about bus accidents as well. Well, I can’t really remember which issue already but I think is the September one. It was about the traffic regulations are badly enforced where bus drivers are driving dangerously and speeding regardless of the passengers’ safety in certain countries. Especially rural areas.

Passengers died while the driver was seriously injured. To be honest, I think the driver should have died. Even not in this accident, I hope he dies in another. Simply because, I believe in karma.
